Do You Need to Exchange Your License in Hungary?

You must exchange your license if:

You can keep using your foreign license if:

  • You’re from the EU/EEA and your license is valid

  • You’re a temporary resident or tourist

Remember: Hungary allows a 6-month grace period for most non-EU licenses. After that, it becomes invalid unless exchanged.
